Employee Sale/Retail Disclaimer:

The purpose of this disclaimer is to provide potential buyers with general information about what to expect from used equipment. It should establish that this equipment is not suitable for every purpose and that some investigation and intervention is necessary for their own satisfaction to be more assured.
Please consider the following before making a purchase of used equipment:

1. This is used equipment removed from a corporate environment and stored in a climate controlled facility. It has been tested by our staff of professionals unless otherwise noted and all of the necessary hardware was in good working order when it was tested. Used equipment is subject to a greater failure rate than new equipment and of course the useful life of this equipment is shorter than that of new equipment. Cascade encourages you to consider all of your options and consider your needs before making your purchase. We want you to be happy with the equipment you purchase and make no effort to deceive you or misrepresent our products we offer for sale.

2. If the hardware fails during the warranty period (if applicable) we will replace it with something of equal value or refund your money. If you intend to rely on this computer for processing critical data please consider a new computer/equipment purchase.

3. This equipment was considered obsolete by a business and as such may not be suitable for use with the latest software or compatible with the newest hardware. This equipment is still useful for checking email, word processing, and other basic computer functions unless specifically stated or you have reason to believe otherwise. If you are interested in being on the “cutting edge” or have some other more sophisticated purpose in mind for the equipment please consider purchasing new equipment. Please research the minimum hardware and software specifications and other requirements for the task you wish to perform. It is your responsibility to make sure that the computer you buy is suitable for the purpose you intend. We have provided the specifications typically used to make this determination and we cannot be responsible for assumptions or misunderstandings on your part.

4. If components, parts, or software are not listed in the description please do not make the assumption that they are included. Please investigate thoroughly before making your purchase. You may require specialized software (other than device drivers) to operate some of the hardware included in your purchase. Unfortunately due to licensing/copy right restrictions we are not able to provide you with this software.

5. Some degree of experience with computers/technology is helpful to setup, operate and maintain this equipment especially if you do not purchase an installed operating system. If you don’t have this experience, aren’t willing to learn or don’t know of anyone who can help you please consider purchasing a new computer that comes with software, tech support or training included. Unfortunately due to our limited resources and the low cost of the equipment offered Cascade is unable to provide any ongoing technical support (beyond the warranty period) or training for you. 

6. Every effort is made to ensure that you will be happy with the condition of the equipment offered for sale. Minimum cosmetic and functional standards are set based on years of experience and training in the sale of all types of used equipment. As used equipment expect some minor scratches, blemishes, wear, discoloration, and debris to be present but not specifically noted. Anything not considered normal wear and tear will be noted for you to evaluate at the time of sale. If this is unacceptable to you or you are unsure please consider purchasing new equipment.

7. We are obligated by our clients to process all equipment in an environmentally responsible manner if you wish to enforce your warranty and have equipment replaced or receive a refund you will have to ship the originally purchased equipment back to our facility where it will be inspected and disposed of properly. We strongly encourage the proper disposal of all of the equipment that you purchase when you feel it is at the end of its useful life for the sake of our environment.
